Prague Tiki bar Tiki Taky

Aloha!

Welcome to Tiki Taky, Prague’s only tiki bar since 2006. We’ve had a thrilling journey in the past couple of decades. From our humble beginnings as a fledgling tiki bar to the current cocktail culture we represent today, we welcome you!

Are you new to Prague or over for a brief visit? Have you noticed that most Czech bars sell mostly beer and crappy wine? And they close early! Like, 10pm early? WTF? Lucky for you, Tiki Taky’s got your back. We specialize in top quality cocktails served by skilled staff in a tropical environment. It’s like an oasis of ohana in a desert of dreary. Sure, Czech beer is legend. But it’s best enjoyed in open air beer gardens in warm weather. But after the beer gardens and pubs sweep the last barflies out by 10pm or 11pm, where do you go now?

IT’S COCKTAIL TIME!

Tiki Taky doesn’t even open til 7pm. Why so late? So we can shake up liters of luscious libations til the wee hours. We’re talking 3am on weekdays and 5am on weekends. If you love exotic cocktails served in a tropical setting, Tiki Taky is your island of aloha! Based on the legendary tiki bars of the the 30s and 40s, a tiki bar is not just a bar. It’s an adventure!

Get ready to dive into an ocean of exotic cocktails, based on time-tested recipes ripped out of the skeletal claws of dead pirates (maybe). We’re talking Mai Tais, Scorpions, Planter’s Punch, Singapore Sling, and many, many more. In fact, you should check out our Tiki Taky Signature Cocktails. Just ask the friendly bar staff for a signature cocktail list. Or, if you have a favorite drink in mind, our bar staff will whip it up for you.

EXOTIC TROPICAL TUNES

Part of the tiki bar experience is the music. Expect exotica, jungle lounge, and tropical tunes played on our swanky surround system. We play all the timeless tiki treasures by Martin Denny, Arthur Lyman, Robert Drasnin, Cal Tjader, and many more. But the staff knows that some of the timeless lounge classics can induce drowsiness after many hours. So we spice it up with some Dick Dale surf guitar, 60s Motown, 70s rock, and more.

COSY AND COMFY COCKTAIL SETTING

Tiki Taky is small. Like Tiki Ti in Los Angeles, it’s cozy. But that means there is always a line in front of Tiki Ti. But not at Tiki Taky, no sir, no ma’am! We take reservations through our sister website, tikitaky.cz. Click on over and reserve your place in paradise tonight!

Soon we will loading this new website with tons of photos of our bar. And just a teaser: we are about to launch our first Tiki Taky custom made tiki mug! Stay tuned for details to bag your tiki swag for your collection.

When it’s cold outside in the Prague winters, warm yourself inside and out in our cozy bar. In hot summers, enjoy cool air conditioning while you sip your cold cocktails. Believe us, air conditioning is rare in Prague. But don’t sweat it, head over to Tiki Taky to chill out. Mahalo!

  1. Aloha & Mālama Pono,

A warm mahalo from all of us at Tiki Taky Prague!

Welcome to praguetikibar.com, our hale hou—a new home away from home. This is the very first post in our new blog, and it feels great to finally have a space that reflects who we are, what we do, and the aloha spirit we share with everyone who walks through our doors.

Big thanks to our web designer, Craig (Big Kahuna) for helping bring this to life. While our longtime site, TikiTaky.cz, is where reservations are handled, it became more of a utility when the DISH reservation system took over the design. Since then, we’ve had ongoing issues—particularly with posting up-to-date menus in a consistent location for QR code access. The vibe and visuals also became a bit… well, less tiki. Facebook is of course a great place to share experiences, photos and videos and has been good to us- not everybody wants to play with Meta; and in the spirit of Tiki, more specifically “making an awesome Tiki Bar Culture in Prague while sharing Tiki stories from around the globe” – let’s do something different, something else, something nice, and something special.

That’s why we created this new space. Praguetikibar.com is where we can finally share our voice, update our menus, and introduce features like this blog, which we never had before.

So leave us a comment below! Say aloha, share a memory, or let us know what you think. We want this site to grow into an online extension of the bar itself—welcoming, relaxed, and full of life.

    Mahalo nui loa,
Jason (Trader J), Craig & the Tiki Taky Team
